HIGH PRESSURE PLUNGER PUMP

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high pressure plunger pump where an atomized powder of raw material slurry is hardly adhered to a plunger surface and life time extension of a sealing device can be achieved longer than a conventional type.

SOLUTION: The high pressure plunger pump is provided with a sealing device constituted such that a high pressure part and a low pressure part are divided by sealing an annular gap formed between a cylinder and a plunger; and a means to prevent adhesion of a powder to the plunger. A packing ring consists of a cylindrical member formed approximately in a U-shape in cross section and provided with a groove part to release the resilient ring of the sealing device to the high pressure part side, and a contact surface with the outer peripheral surface of the plunger constitutes an adhered powder scratching part as a powder adhesion preventing means.
