DUST COLLECTOR AND AIR-CONDITIONER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dust collector capable of ensuring the dust collection efficiency not less than the theoretical value, obtaining the stable dust collection performance when the humidity is high and a dust collection unit is stained, and obtaining high dust collection performance without damaging flatness of an electrode.

SOLUTION: The dust collector has a dust collection unit 1 in which sheets 4 having a rib 5 to provide an air duct 2 to pass air and an electrode 3 provided on a face opposite to a face with the rib 5 provided thereon are layered in the same direction, and the voltage alternately different for each layering is applied to each electrode 3, so that the distance of the dust present in air and passing through the dust collection unit 1 is larger than the depth of the dust collection unit 1.
