OPTICAL TRANSMISSION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an optical transmission with low power consumption and with an inexpensive system configuration.

SOLUTION: The optical transmission system realizes the task above by including: a first optical transmission system that multiplexes electric signals including digital video signals supplied from a source apparatus side block 100 and a plurality of source apparatus side control signals into one stream by a clock synchronously with a pixel clock of the digital video signals and optically transmits the stream to a monitor apparatus side block 200; and a second optical transmission system for multiplexing a plurality of the monitor apparatus side control signals being the electric signals supplied from the monitor apparatus side block 200 into one stream, converting the stream into a serial signal of an asynchronous system and optically transmitting the serial signal.
