<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for setting and releasing PDP (packet data protocol) context of a mobile communication terminal in a GPRS (general packet radio service) network by adjusting a predetermined response time period to a message requesting the PDP context based on the number of times for retransmitting the message requesting the PDP context. <P>SOLUTION: The packet data protocol context requesting method for a mobile communication terminal includes the steps for: adjusting the predetermined response time period based on the number of times for transmitting a message requesting activated PDP context; transmitting the message requesting the activated PDP context having the adjusted predetermined response time period; and confirming whether a message approving the activated PDP context is received or not when the response time period of the transmitted message is within the predetermined response time period. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
