PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance initial responsiveness without sacrificing wear resistance in a pneumatic radial tire. SOLUTION: A peripheral direction grounding length LB at the vehicle mounting inside on an out side at the time of a cornering becomes equal to a peripheral direction grounding length LA at the vehicle mounting outside. A grounding pressure distribution on a tread surface is made uniform to improve grounding property, and lateral force is linearly generated in relation to an input of a fine steering angle. Since set positions of sub-main grooves 22 and 24 are changed by outside shoulder region land part row 20A and inside shoulder region land part row 20B, and a tire shaft direction width WA of an outside sub-land part row 26 is set to be larger than a tire shaft direction width WB of an inside sub-land part row 28, wear resistance and initial responsiveness can be reconciled.
