PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner for vehicle capable of performing an air conditioning control with due considerations to a child. SOLUTION: A front passenger seat occupant detecting ECU 44 decides an occupant state (no occupants, sitting of an adult or sitting of a child) based on a detection signal of an occupant detecting sensor 42, and the decision is outputted to an airbag ECU 12. In the airbag ECU 12, occupant information is outputted to an air conditioning ECU 32. When the occupant sitting on the front passenger seat is the child by the information, a face blow-out is turned OFF and a front passenger seat side face register 30 is directed to the outside of the front passenger seat.
