PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press molding mold which suppresses chipping and improves mold release properties and a press molding method using the mold. SOLUTION: A chamfering part 20 is formed in a silicon piece 2 to be the press molding mold. With the use of a holding tool 6 in which the claw part 62 engaging with the chamfering part 20 is provided in a support part 61, the piece 2 is held by the holding part 6, and the chipping of the piece 2 is suppressed during press molding to improve the mold release properties.
