PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coater using a one-meter-or-wider wide die coater which gives a coated product having a coating film of an even thickness in the coating width direction even when coating is carried out for a long period, causes less coating failure and coated with a fluororesin allowing easy cleaning of portions coming in contact with the coating solution, and a method of fabricating the die coater. SOLUTION: The coater uses a die coater which has a pocket section spreading a coating solution in the coating width direction, a coating solution supply port supplying the coating solution to the pocket section and a slit section discharging the coating solution from the pocket section onto a support and is attached with at least two bars. The bars constituting the faces of the die coater coming in contact with the coating solution are coated at least partly with a fluororesin. Suspended with one end face upward, the bars are treated in a baking oven to bake the fluororesin and then subjected to finishing grinding. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
