The device for the water supply of a hand-guided working tool, especially for the supply to a cutting disc of a disc grinder, has a water-carrying line (3) and valve arrangement (4) in the line for the control of water flow (5) flowing through the line. The valve arrangement includes a control valve with a valve component (7) adustable over an adjustment travel. An opening cross-section of the control valve has a progressive characteristic curve depending upon the adjustment travel. An independent claim is included for an arrangement for the operating of a device for the water supply to a hand-guided working tool in which an actuating device (16) acting upon a valve arrangement is constructed separately from other actuating elements of the working tool.
