<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of adding an image for specifying contents of an image to be output. <P>SOLUTION: When it is determined that image data are input (S11: YES), a specific pattern is detected from the input image (S12). Then it is determined whether the specific pattern is detected (S13), and when it is determined that the specific pattern is detected (S13: YES), an additional image to be put together is selected based upon the detection result (S14).
