<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device, a method, and a program for supporting progress management capable of selecting an appropriate work executor in a short time without requiring special work. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for supporting progress management, when supporting management of a progress situation of work executed on the basis of a message added to an electronic document, the work executor suiting execution of the work executed on the basis of the message attached to the electronic document is selected by a selecting part 41A of a progress management server 40 from a plurality of work executors indicated by a worker database stored beforehand by a secondary storing part 45 on the basis of task information included in the message and the worker database.
