<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize a time wasted in PWM pulse generation to reduce a control delay, and to enhance responsiveness. <P>SOLUTION: Following members are provided: a command value computing unit 104 that outputs as a command value the data string of a waveform signal that serves as a standard of an output voltage waveform; a command value register 105 that rewrites the command value in required timing and holds it; a carrier wave generator 103 that outputs the carrier wave of a predetermined frequency according to an inputted clock; a comparator 107 that compares carrier wave data outputted from the carrier wave generator 103 with data in the command value register; and an output register 108 that holds the result of the comparison. When a PWM pulse is generated via the output register 108, a following measure is taken: the output register 108 is provided with a data update control terminal T; during an update period in which values in the command value resister are rewritten; and a predetermined signal is supplied to the data update control terminal T so as not to update the content of the register. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
