<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an original lithographic printing plate which can record an image using a laser beam emitting an infrared light and has excellent distinguishability between an image part and a non-image part after exposure, while displaying successful aboard-the-machine developing properties and printing image reproducibility, and besides, has high illuminating stability of an image formed by exposure (a printed-out image), and a lithographic printing method using the original lithographic printing plate. <P>SOLUTION: This original lithographic printing plate comprises an image recording layer and an overcoat layer formed in that order on a support, and can print image data by removing an unexposed part from the image recording layer through supplying an oil ink and an aqueous component aboard the printing machine after the exposure of the image recording layer to the infrared light. In addition, the original plate has such a mechanism that the overcoat layer contains an infrared absorbent dispersed in the form of particle and an absorbance is changed by melting the infrared absorbent under an emitted infrared light.
