PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device, etc., which passes a sheet-like recording medium carrying an unfixed toner image on its surface through a nip region to thereby heat and pressurize a recording medium and to fix the toner image on the recording medium, the fixing device, etc., in which wear in a guide member for guiding paper is prevented and also a streak-like flaw occurring in a central part in the width direction of the paper and paper jamming occurring due to lifting of a separating claw are prevented. SOLUTION: The fixing device includes: both ends separating claws 532 each of which has a front edge 5321 assisting separation of both end parts of the recording medium in the width direction orthogonal to the transporting direction of the recording medium and has a rear end part 5322 projected relatively in the direction of thickness of the recording medium toward both end parts in the width direction of the recording medium which is separated by the front edge 5321; and central separating claws 531 each of which has a front edge 5311 assisting separation in a central part in the width direction of the recording medium and has rear end part 5312 relatively retracted from the central part in the width direction of the recording medium which is separated by the front end 5311 toward the direction of thickness of the recording material.
