PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide measurement information such as an area of an extracted region by extracting a desired region from a dynamic moving image in a real time. SOLUTION: A medical image diagnostic apparatus, equipped with a display device for displaying an image acquired from a subject in a still image or the dynamic moving image, is equipped with a region extracting means which sets a reference point in a frame of the dynamic moving image and extracts the region on the dynamic moving image by using luminance information from the reference point.
