CLEARANCE MEASUREMENT INSTRUMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clearance measurement instrument for measuring the clearance between the side face of a stock rail of a turnout and the opposite face of a metal clasp fixed to a tongue rail facing the stock rail, which can reduce measurement time and improve measurement accuracy. SOLUTION: A standard member 11 has a standard face 17b which is aligned with an end face 3b of the metal clasp 3 to be positioned. An insertion member 12 has an insertion piece 20 which is to be inserted into the clearance 4 between the side face 1a of the stock rail 1 of the turnout and the opposite face 3a of the metal clasp 3. The insertion member 12 is provided with the insertion piece 20 so that the insertion piece 20 can move reciprocally in the vertical direction with respect to the standard face 17b. The insertion piece 20 has a vertical face 20c which extends from a distal end 20a toward a proximal end 20b and faces the standard face 17b and an inclined face 20d which inclines with respect to the vertical face 20c so that it becomes linearly thicker from the distal end 20a toward the proximal end 20b.
