PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a friction easing device and a friction easing method, jetting friction easing material when entering a sharp curve, and capable of easing friction resistance between a vehicular wheel and a rail. SOLUTION: The friction easing devices 5, 6 jets the friction easing material C between an inner track side rail 1a and the wheel 4a when vehicles 2A, 2B pass through the sharp curve, thereby easing the friction resistance between those. The friction easing deices 5, 6 are installed so as to correspond to the wheels 4a, 4b of a rear side bogie 4B of the forefront vehicle 2A. When the curve entry of a front side bogie 4A of the forefront vehicle 2A is detected, the friction easing device 5 jets the friction easing material C between the wheel 4a of the rear side bogie 4B of the forefront vehicle 2A and the rail 1a.
