PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely dispose of cut chips produced particularly in copy turning work. SOLUTION: A pair of cutting blades 4, 4, extending from a corner portion C are formed on the ridge of a polygonal face constituting a cutting face 2 of a tip body 1. The cutting face 2 is inclined to gradually sink deeper as the distance from the cutting blade 4 increases, and a land 7 formed along the cutting blade 4 is inclined with an angle smaller than that of the cutting face 2 to gradually sink deeper as the distance from the cutting blade 4 increases. The inclination angles of the cutting face 2 and the land 7 are gradually decreased as the distance from the tip of the corner portion C, which is the crossing point with a bisecting line of the corner portion C, increases along the cutting face 4. On the cutting face 2, a main dot 8 having a convex spherical shape is formed on the tip side of the corner portion C with a gap to the cutting blade 4, and at least a pair of sub-dots 9, 9 each having a convex spherical shape are formed at positions spaced apart from the main dot 8 along the blades 4, 4.
