摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silica removing apparatus which enables the continuous and easy removal and reduction of silica in high temperature and high pressure geothermal water at a low cost by reacting hot water containing silica and seeds in equipment having a simple structure, a silica removing method and a silica powder manufacturing method. SOLUTION: In the removal method of silica in hot water, geothermal water 20 is supplied to a column 12 filled with seeds 18 comprising calcium silicate and reacting with the seeds 18 not only to sediment settings 25 downward but also to discharge treated water 21, from which silica is removed, from the upper part of the column 12. The seeds 18 are characterized in that the molar ratio Si/Ca of Si and Ca constituting calcium silicate is 0.81-4.48 and, in the particle size distribution of calcium silicate, particles with a particle size of below 200μm are 10% or below and particles of which the particle size is not less than 1,000μm are 10% or below.
