PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for applying an adhesive, by which the electrically conductive adhesive can be thinly and uniformly applied to both sides of a plate-like material at the same time. SOLUTION: A squeegee 12A or 12B is arranged for adjusting the amount of the adhesive to be sent in the direction of the plate-like material 20 by the outer peripheral surface 11A3 or 11B3 of a coating roller 11A or 11B. A belt member 11A1 or 11B1 consisting of, for example, urethane softer than the plate-like material 20 is arranged on the outer peripheral surface 11A3 or 11B3 so that the roller nip between the coating rollers 11A and 11B is made narrower than the thickness of the plate-like material 20. As a result, when the plate-like material 20 is made to pass through the roller nip between the coating rollers 11A and 11B, the electrically conductive adhesive 30a can be thinly and uniformly applied to both sides of the plate-like material 20 at the same time.
