PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a culture observation device without forming dew condensation at the inside of an objective lens. SOLUTION: This objective lens 810 of a microscope in the culture observation device is provided by positioning its tip end part at the inside of a culturing space 202, and the rest of its part at the inside space 156 of a culturing device sub-main body at a lower temperature than that of the culturing space 202. The objective lens 810 has lenses 814A to 814C, lens frames 816A to 816C for protecting each of them, an outer tube 812 for housing the lens frames 816A to 816C together with a blank frame 816D and a frame-fixing member 818 for fixing the lens frames 816A to 816C and the blank frame 816D. A place between the brim 812c of the outer tube 812 and an outside base part 146 are sealed by a sealing member 222. The outer tube 812 has a groove 812d extending vertically and a penetrating hole 812e extending from the groove 812d.
