<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus with an image edit function in which an image reading means in an image reading portion has not only an image reading function but also an image display function, can display an image of a general paper size in a full size, and does not require printing for confirming an image. <P>SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus 1, an image reading portion 2 is composed of a TFT liquid crystal display device 10 with an image reading function, an image edit function, and a touch panel function, a supporting member 11 inclining and supporting the TFT liquid crystal display device 10 for a setting surface of the image forming device 1, a paper holding member 12 provided in the vicinity of a tail end portion 10a of the TFT liquid crystal display device 10 inclined and supported, a memory control device including a storage element (not shown), and a display control device.
