<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogenation method which can be practiced in a conversion rate to be achieved with as small quantity of catalyst as possible. <P>SOLUTION: The method for continuous catalytic hydrogenation comprises practising hydrogenation in at least two hydrogenation units serially connected in which at least one of two hydrogenation units is operated in loop type and using a catalytic volume which differs by maximum 20% from a catalytic volume obtained by (a) measuring hydrogenation kinetics to be practised, (b) calculating catalytic volumes required for types of reactors used by inlet concentrations and outlet concentrations of reactors previously set, (c) calculating total catalytic volume required by combining calculated catalytic volumes, (d) preparing a curve by plotting total catalytic volume calculated by the item (c) to the conversion rate, (e) determining a minimum value of the curve prepared by the item (d) and (f) calculating a catalytic volume assigned to minimum value of respective hydrogenation unit in order to perform hydrogenation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
