PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication method, a communication system, a relay device, and a computer program for stabilizing a communication between the relay device to be used as an access point even when a communication state becomes bad and a terminal device to be used as a mobile IP telephone in a streaming communication such as an IP telephone etc. to be performed under wireless LAN environment.

SOLUTION: The relay device 1 assigns a communication band so as to make a communication speed to be low as much as possible when amount of data needed in a communication such as the streaming communication etc. is to be transmitted and received to and from each terminal device 2 by a communication speed set in every terminal device 2 using each communication band which is assigned to each terminal device 2.
