<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an encapsulated L2 communication apparatus for suppressing broadcasting in an access network or a core communication network and reducing number of searching times of its network processor. <P>SOLUTION: A searching processing section 225 informs an address learning management section 226 about transmission of an in-core-network hallow frame by each time of in-core-network hallow frame transmission, and the network processor (NPU) 227 outputs the in-core-network hallow frame generated by the address learning management section 226 to a core side ports 204 to 206 in a broadcasting way. Upon the receipt of an in-core-network hallow frame from another encapsulated L2 communication apparatus, the NPU 227 registers an address of the encapsulated L2 communication apparatus being a sender of the in-core-network hallow frame and port identifiers for identifying the core side ports 204 to 206 receiving the in-core-network hallow frame to a core side transfer database 233 in cross-reference with each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
