PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machine sewing thread satisfying both of sewing suitability and decreased seam puckering, because, as flapping (seam puckering) generated in sewing processing is important defect injuring externals of a sewn products, but nevertheless no epochal method satisfying important property of sewing property and decreasing seam puckering is provided. SOLUTION: The machine sewing threads 1, 2, 3 of a twisted thread are obtained by twisting usual fiber with soluble, reducible, fusible or softening fiber each in the same twisting direction within 8-70°twisting angle, or the machine sewing thread is obtained by twisting a plurality of heat-extensible fibers with usual fibers in the same twisting direction. The sewn products are produced by using the thread and are processed after sewing treatment. Then, in sewing, as the twisted thread is thicker than the conventional thread, so, sewing is performed by using a machine needle having a large pinhole and a wider slot, attaching accessaries exclusive to the machine, and coating a lubricant on a cloth in the stretched state.
