SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FORMING VERTICALLY ARRAYED NANOROD AND MAKING ELECTRIC CONTACT ON THE ARRAY OF THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure and a method for forming an electric contact layer on an upper part of an array of nanorods. SOLUTION: The system and the method provides an electrical contact on the array of nanorods 132 aligned substantially vertically. The nanorod 132 can be made on the top of a conductive layer functioning as a bottom contact 120 to the nanorod 132. A top metal contact 140 can be applied to a plurality of nanorods 132 in the array of the nanorods 132.
