PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver salt photothermographic dry imaging material which has less fogging and with higher maximum color density, improved color tone, and image preservability, its manufacturing method, and its image forming method. SOLUTION: This silver salt photothermographic dry imaging material has a photosensitive layer, containing non-photosensitive aliphatic carboxylic acid silver salt particles and photosensitive silver halides particles on its base. This non-photosensitive aliphatic carboxylic acid silver salt particles are the ones manufactured by preparing an aliphatic carboxylic acid potassium salt containing solution obtained by using potassium hydroxide. This photosensitive silver halides particles are the ones containing silver bromide doped with transition metal of 0-95 mol% silver at an area within 1 mol% from the surface.
