PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a specimen treating device capable of treating a specimen continuously, even when an external conveyance line for conveying a specimen container storing the specimen is stopped. SOLUTION: This analyzer (specimen treating device) 140 includes a blood coagulation measuring device 1 for treating a blood specimen; and a conveyance device 2 for conveying the specimen container 150 for storing the blood specimen at a supply position 2a for supplying the blood specimen to the blood coagulation measuring device 1. The conveyance device 2 can be operated in an on-line mode wherein the specimen container 150 conveyed by the conveyance line 120 provided outside is received and conveyed, and in an off-line mode wherein the specimen container 150 is conveyed independently of the conveyance line 120.
