PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parking device and an elevator capable of stably driving in a simple constitution. SOLUTION: The parking device includes a main structural body having a plurality of storing shelves capable of storing a vehicle by arranging them in the vertical direction, a lift cage 30 capable of mounting the vehicle thereon, an interconnecting mechanism having the second interconnecting member 62, the first interconnecting member 61 capable of being abutted on the second interconnecting member 62 from a lower side and making relative displacement in the lower direction from a position abutted on the second interconnecting member 62 and an energizing mechanism making predetermined force act downward on the first interconnecting member 61, a wire capable of hanging the lift cage in a hoist-way adjacent to each storing shelf through the interconnecting mechanism and a hoist device capable of winding the wire up and down. It is so constituted that the first interconnecting member is fixed to one end section of the wire and that the second interconnecting member is fixed to the lift cage. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
