NURSERY BED MATERIAL PREPARED FROM GREENERY FOLIAGE AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING SEEDLING GROWTH BY USING THE SAME

A nursery bed material prepared from greenery foliage such as foliage from pruning and a method which comprises using the material alone to thereby largely prolong the period suitable for setting while inhibiting the spindly growth of seedlings. Foliage obtained from pruning (1) roadside trees, etc. are ground (2) with a tab grinder or the like. Next, the ground matter is deposited (3) and fermented/aged (4) by maintaining the ground matter at a temperature of about 60 to 70°C while agitating it one or several times. Next, it is sieved (5) and the matters passing the sieve are obtained as a nursery bed material. Then the material alone is put into a seedling raising pot followed by sowing and adequate watering.
