Exhaust system for internal combustion engine has dividing region between end silencer and exhaust flap

The exhaust gas system includes an exhaust pipe containing an end silencer (1) with an end tube (4) connected to it and an exhaust flap (7) in the end tube. There is a dividing region (11) between the end silencer and the exhaust flap, in which the end tube can be separated. A replacement end tube with exhaust flap can be fitted by a fitting device (12) without loss to the side of the dividing region facing the end silencer.
