<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lenticular lens sheet which performs uniform illumination without unevenness irrespective of a position at which a screen is observed, a surface light source device and a transmission type display device. <P>SOLUTION: The lenticular lens sheet 14 is arranged between a flash tube 13 and an LCD panel 11. The diffusion half-value angle of an incident side lens part 14a of the lenticular lens sheet 14 is 5° or larger and 20° or smaller, and the emitting side pitch P2 is 1.5 times the incident side pitch P1. Further, when the height is denoted by H, the width is denoted by W and the refractive index is denoted by N at an emitting side lens part 14b, the relation arcsin(1/N)<arctan(1/((2H/W)-0.1)) is satisfied. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
