PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To vary output to a built-in display device or an external display device, based on the display content of an image. SOLUTION: The display system has an external display device, a means for inputting the image from a camera, or a communication means for inputting the image by communication, an image input section which is a memory card slot inputting the image from a memory card, the built-in display device displaying the input image, is equipped with a portable apparatus capable of outputting the input image to the external display device, and has a discriminating means for discriminating the output to whether the built-in display device or the external display device, based on the display contents of the image.
