PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reel holder which does not need to design a spinning rod case in an excessive length, can efficiently receive and store a plurality of reels to effectively use the case, can carry only the reels, and can simply carry the reels such as reels having different uses, respectively, and to provide a method for carrying the reel. SOLUTION: This reel holder 1 is characterized by disposing a plurality of tools 3 for fixing line reels 12 on a spinning rod-like supporter 2 in its longitudinal direction at a prescribed distance, whereby the reels 12 can be attached and held in a mutually non-contacting state. As the tool 3 for fixing the line reel 12, adopted can be a fixing tool 3 having a mechanism for locking a nail portion 4 disposed in the bottom portion of the reel with a nail receiver 6 disposed on the spinning rod-like supporter 2 and for preventing escape of a rear nail portion 5 by a buckle 7. Thus, only the necessary number of the reel holders 1, only the necessary number of reels 12 in a state that the reel holders 1 are put in a spinning rod case, or the necessary number of both the reels 12 and the spinning rods can simply be carried.
