<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inverter drive circuit, more specifically an inverter drive circuit of low power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: The inverter drive circuit rectifies and smoothes an AC voltage of 220 V and converts a high DC voltage obtained from this processes to the AC voltage of 840 V to drive a fluorescent lamp.
