IN-VEHICLE UNIT COMMUNICATING WITH ROADSIDE MACHINE AND RECORDING COMMUNICATION RESULT IN EXTERNAL STORAGE MEDIUM

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent induction of extraction of an external storage medium by a user even when a writing failure into an IC card occurs, in an in-vehicle ETC unit.

SOLUTION: When the in-vehicle ETC unit 1 fails in writing of a communication result into the IC card, the in-vehicle ETC unit 1 turns on a writing failure flag. Thereafter, when the writing failure flag is turned on (refer to step 170) in the case of presence of extraction of the card or engine OFF (steps 140, 150), error notification related to the external storage medium is performed, and notification of prompting to next come into a gate of manual payment is first performed (step 190).
