<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a varistor which has a good adhesiveness between a varistor element and an external electrode, and has a good solderability on the surface of the external electrode. <P>SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the varistor comprises processes of forming the varistor element including a built-in internal electrode, applying a silicon compound solution to the surface of the varistor element, forming the external electrode electrically connected to the internal electrode on the surface of the varistor element, and forming a plating film on the external electrode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
