PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an authentication processing method for an unauthorized duplicated terminal in a mobile communications system, wherein the method prevents registration authentication fail of an unauthorized duplicated mobile terminal from disturbing the normal operation of an authorized produced mobile terminal and prevents repeated processing of registration authentication of an unauthorized duplicated mobile terminal from increasing the load of the authentication system of a wireless network. SOLUTION: The method for processing authentication method for an unauthorized duplicated terminal in a mobile communication system provides a registration authentication success flag and a registration authentication failure flag in a mobile terminal. An authorized produced mobile terminal which has succeeded in gaining registration authentication ignores an authentication-failed message, caused by the registration authentication failure of the unauthorized duplicated mobile station, by using the registration authentication success flag. An unauthorized duplicated mobile terminal is not allowed to attempt registration authentication, even if the unauthorized duplicated mobile is repeatedly powered off and on, by using the registration authentication failure flag.
