PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position acquisition system and a position acquisition method, which prevent position information of a first radio terminal from being altered and allow the enhancement of precision of position information of the first radio terminal. SOLUTION: The position information acquisition system includes a position information acquisition part (312) for acquiring position information of the first radio terminal from a transmission signal transmitted from the first radio terminal and a determination part (313) for determining whether the position information of the first radio terminal is altered information or not. When determining that the position information of the first radio terminal is altered information, the determination part (313) takes first information based on a position of a first access point, where the transmission signal is received, as position information of the first radio terminal.
