PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To clearly display the present shift position to a rider. SOLUTION: A shift control device 12 has a housing 24 provided with an instruction portion 42 having a plurality of mark holes 44. An instruction member 42 is controllably connected to a shift control cable 16 and the shift control cable 16 is connected to the housing 24. The instruction member 42 is constituted such that it is selectively positioned at a position of at least one mark hole 44 according to action of the shift control cable 16.
