PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic diagnostic system and its method capable of observing and diagnosing biological information of a subject at an optional direction and a pathway independently of a direction in which an ultrasonic beam proceeds. SOLUTION: This inventional ultrasonic diagnostic system comprises a probe to illuminate a requested region of a subject with an ultrasonic signal and receive the reflected ultrasonic signal, a scan converter to convert ultrasound image data acquired based on the ultrasonic signal received by the probe to B-mode image data, an input part which receives an optional M-mode scanning line set by a user, an optional M-mode processing part to generate an optional M-mode image data corresponding to the optional M-mode scanning line, and a display part to display at least one of the B-mode image data, the M-mode image data, and the optional M-mode scanning line.
