ARRAY SUBSTRATE AND DISPLAY APPARATUS HAVING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an array substrate for enhancing the output characteristic of a driving circuit, and also to provide a display apparatus having the same. SOLUTION: The array substrate includes a substrate divided into a display area and a peripheral area adjacent to the display area. A pixel array is formed on the substrate corresponding to the display area and receives a driving signal. The driving circuit includes a plurality of stages and is formed on the substrate corresponding to the peripheral area. Each of the stages of the driving circuit includes: a first transistor having a source electrode connected to an output terminal to output the driving signal; and a capacitor defined between a gate electrode and the source electrode of the first transistor. Then, a channel layer formed between the gate electrode and the source electrode is partially removed. Thus, the capacitance of the capacitor is thereby increased to enhance an output characteristic of the driving circuit. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
