PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a frame member which is extremely reduced in deformation at both edges of a bend part and not only efficiently manufactured, but fine in appearance by making post treatment such as polishing and straightening unnecessary. SOLUTION: The frame member 1 which constitutes a portion of a body, is provided with a belt-like base part 6 and a flange part 7 formed in the side edge part of the base part 6 and also the bend part 5 taking the flange part 7 as the inside and the longitudinal direction of the base part 6 as the bending direction in a prescribed position. The flange part is provided with an inclined part 8 which is obliquely extended through a first bending part 10 continuously from the side edge of the base part 6 and a tip part 9 which is extended in the vertical direction to the base part 6 through a second bending part 11 continuously from the leading edge of the inclined part 8.
