The pet cage has a base formed by a drawer on which one or more end walls (18) are fixed. The pull-out end wall has an access opening and in the closed position of the drawer fits detachably between the longitudinal walls and roof. A further wall with opening can be provided on the drawer between the two end walls to provide a wind trap at the front of the cage.
