<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To print on a transfer medium information which both humans and information devices can read reliably and accurately and to reliably and accurately read the information printed on the transfer medium. <P>SOLUTION: A sending personal computer 1 prints the characters 13 of a text 10 on the transfer medium 4 via a printer 3 using either ink or a printing technique that greatly affects human vision. Also, the picture 12 of a two-dimensionally coded image 11 obtained by coding the text 10 and subjecting it to image conversion is printed on the characters 13 or in an area containing the characters, using ink or a printing technique that affects human vision little.
