<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a locking device capable of attaching and detaching a surface plate without using a screw or the like which gives many restrictions on design and moreover easily detaching it using a tool. <P>SOLUTION: One end of a plate spring bent in angle shape at the intermediate part is fixed to a back plate of an operation panel. A fixed end side inclined face of the plate spring is provided with a through hole, and the back face of the surface plate is provided with a protrusion locked by the through hole. In the state of the protrusion being locked by the through hole, a predetermined clearance is formed between a part of the tip of the protruding part and the fixed end side inclined face of the plate spring. When releasing the lock, a lock release tool is inserted in a slit-like opening provided in the side face of the end part of the surface plate, and its tip part gets into the clearance.
