PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a touch position detecting device and its method for facilitating touch position detection, and provide a touch screen display device provided with the same.

SOLUTION: A touch sensing part 151 senses an occurrence position of a touch event, and outputs sensing frame data. A touch position detecting part 450 updates the (n)th sensing frame data provided by the touch sensing part 151 on the basis of an update control signal 430a on reference frame data, and detects touch position data by using the reference frame data and the (n+i)th sensing frame data (n, i are natural numbers 1 or more) provided by the touch sensing part.
