PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric oscillator wherein a difference between a temperature of a piezoelectric oscillating piece and a temperature sensed by a temperature sensor is reduced to accurately control the variation of an oscillation frequency, which is caused by a temperature characteristics of the piezoelectric oscillating piece. SOLUTION: A temperature compensated piezoelectric oscillator is provided with: a piezoelectric vibrator having the piezoelectric oscillating piece stored therein; and an oscillation circuit element having the temperature sensor, the piezoelectric vibrator has an electrode part connected to the piezoelectric oscillating piece, and the oscillation circuit element has the temperature sensor 12 disposed in the vicinity of connection terminals 52 and 59 connected to the electrode part.
