PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily and stably menufcturing a chromium-plated part which exerts a corrosion resistance even if a surface residual stress is -100 MPa or more. SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing the chromium-plated part, a pulse plating treatment is carried out to form a chromium layer with no crack, and the surface is finished through buffing. Here, the pulse shape, the current density, the plating bath temperature, the plating bath composition, etc. are adjusted and the kind of buff, the processing condition, etc. used for finishing process are adjusted such that a stress value A in electrodeposit produced in a chromium layer through the pulse plating treatment, a working stress value B applied in the chromium layer by the finishing process and the amount of stress change C in the chromium layer caused by temperature elevation and the passage of time satisfy the relation: A+B+C<80 MPa.
